The Truth and the Outdoors is a family-friendly outdoor expo hosted by the Franklin Baptist Association for the purpose of uniting together with people in our community who share a passion for the outdoors. In 2009 we held our first expo over one and a half days. Admission was free and families turned out in droves with 4,200 attendees and 75-plus vendors on a rain-soaked weekend in late March.

Why would the Franklin Baptist Association want to sponsor such an event? Simple. We love the outdoors and we want to please the Lord. It would seem appropriate to share with you the Truth and the Outdoors vision statement at this point:

To be obedient to God’s command to go and make disciples of all nations(1) by declaring God’s glory in all the earth, (2) using our common interests in hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities to relate to and share the gospel with all people, and to see a multitude come to salvation in Jesus Christ (3) by the grace of God. (4) Amen.
